Steps to Create a Mentally Healthy Workplace
There are many different ways to create a mentally healthy workplace. Most models, however, use an integrated approach to workplace mental health (see LaMontagne et al., 2014) which promotes these three components:
Prevent Harm: involves minimizing work-related risks to mental health.
Promote Health: invovles using positive workplace and leadership practices to promote staff wellbeing.
Recognise and Manage Illness: involves recognising and supporting employees who may be expeirencing mental health problems.
