Industry Reopening Framework

Over recent months ARV have led weekly meeting of industry leaders to discuss and explore the impact of COVID-19 on the Aquatics and Recreation industry , industries response and future needs to ensure a successful reboot of the industry both in Victoria and Australia.

The collaboration assisted the development of a paper/ correspondence that have been forwarded to various ministers in both levels of government and SRV and the development of a COVID -19 Industry reopening framework. The framework has been prepared as a resource for industry representatives to assist a safe reopening of Aquatic and Recreation facilities.

These advocacy papers were informed by both ARV’s recent industry survey outcomes and industry engagement over the COVID -19 period and the industry leaders 1:1 interviews.

 

These leaders include CEO’s from The Community Aquatic, Recreation and Sports Industry represents the industry peak bodies, facility operators and program and activity providers who collectively provide the opportunities to encourage Australians to be more physically active, to recreate and participate in community sport, including: Industry National (Royal Life Saving Society Australia, Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association, Austswim, Australian Leisure Facilities Association - and State Peak Bodies including Aquatics and Recreation Victoria, Aquatics and Recreation Institute (NSW), ALFAQ, Leisure Institute of Western Australia (LIWA); Facility and Program Providers; Aligned Leisure, Belgravia Leisure; BlueFit; Club Links; State Sports Centres – NSW and the YMCA (Aus & NSW) and Smart Connection Consultancy
