Become a Duty Manager
A Duty Manager is in charge of ensuring everything runs smoothly at an aquatic facility.
Duty managers look after the monitoring of water testing, facility safety, on-deck customer service.
Next Wave Employers must employ all employees as permanent part-time, for 19hrs per week. Aquatic facilities often have large opening hours, creating great workplaces that are accommodating of family, study and your needs.
AS A DUTY MANAGER, YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:
- Plant room operations and water chemistry
- Communicating, educating and building connection with patrons
- Pool supervision, ensuring safety of patrons
- Administering First Aid, CPR or Defib as necessary
- General cleaning duties of pool hall
- Incident reports and First Aid forms
- Understand and adhere to all OHS policies and procedures to help improve safety fopatrons and staff
- Identify OHS issues, control, isolate and report
- Responding to emergencies and incidents including rescue
- Attend and participate in quarterly mandatory training
- On-shift supervision and leadership of all staff
- Delegated authority to represent management when unavailable
- Act as Chief Warden during emergency evacuations
- Problem solving
