Inclusive aquatics and recreation: a guide to increasing participation by underrepresented communities
Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) wants everyone to have the opportunity to participate in aquatics and recreation. Currently, evidence proves not all groups in our community are equally represented as participants or employees, but you can help to change this.
This guide is designed to assist aquatics and recreation organisations to improve access for underrepresented communities and increase participation opportunities for those who often miss out. It is divided into two sections: one for leaders looking for organisation-wide approaches, and another for local champions who would like to implement initiatives in their venues or regions.

Our guide discusses examples of inclusion initiatives. If you would like to see a summary of these projects, jump to our index.
We value your feedback and contribution, and welcome contact from you that could help us improve the inclusive aquatics and recreation guide. Please share with us any advice, new information, and case studies that exemplify good practice supporting inclusion in aquatics and recreation. Contact details are found at the bottom of the screen.
