Thu 28 Feb 2019 07:00 — 10:00
Event information
This event is sold out.
Overview of What the session is about
Over the past 5 years there has been an increasing occurrence of ceramic tile failures in commercial concrete swimming pools across Australia and New Zealand (“Australasia”). The failures experienced in Australasia follow similar experiences in other jurisdictions, notably in the United Kingdom and Europe. Failures have not necessarily been confined to swimming pools, with similar experiences occurring in Industrial and Commercial flooring applications in Australia and overseas, however given the nature of the ARV audience, the session will focus on failures in commercial concrete swimming pools including:
- Context and history
- Causes including actual project data
- The Australian experience: Standards and practices
- The Overseas experience: Standards and practices
- Australian industry response and the way forward
